Shiny Teds Carnaby

The Shiny Teds family is made from spazzolato leather, and the finished product has a high-shine that looks almost like plastic or patent leather, but is neither.
First, the calf is Chrome tanned, the most effective and efficient manner in which to tan leather and it is significantly less toxic than other methods of tanning.
The leather is then polished using two different methods. The first polishing makes the leather the most smooth it can possibly be, removing any grains or markings that are natural. The second polish is done to achieve the shine, this is the brushing Spazzolato effect.
The process of Spazzolato has to be done by hand in order to achieve the desired effect and takes up to three days just to get the leather ready for production.
